This was because their father loved Haerin more than her because he was negligent towards her and when her father realized his mistake, he unalived himself by running to the alley, covering her face crying and shot himself just because his red tears resembled those of blood because of his rare condition called Hemolacria because Haerin was born with normal clear tears and their mom ended up getting remarried and had a child that is a boy named Sabeom and when she finally admits it to Haerin the moment she told her that her father was negligent towards her and not Haerin, her mother accidentally admitting her own jealousy towards Haerin, Haerin was shocked. So, nothing was actually wrong with her mother, she was perfectly fine, but the reason why she was remarried to a man named Cheol-min is because Haerin's father had Hemolacria and she herself couldn't understand his condition and what he was trying to tell Haerin's mother. Even whenever she tried begging her to take Sabeom away from her family, her mother would just refuse. Her mom became so shocked that she would just cry harder.
