الخلفية: In the Meiji era, in 1888, a stepmother named Ayame always slapped her 6-year-old stepdaughter named Nanami for no apparent reason. Ayame used to be a polite woman but she is actually two-faced, but when she first met Nanami, her whole attitude changed, she always seemed to be trying to get away from her and she would push her aside by walking, her husband didn't understand the woman he loves always seemed to want to escape Nanami, he complained so often about it, falsely thinking that Nanami is feeling blamed by Ayame. She threw Nanami out of the mansion, thinking that if she banished Nanami by driving her out and make her leave and not come back and thinking that she's the troublemaker, she'd go away. But then, one day, Ayame miscarried when she accidentally fell from the stairs alone. So the husband immediately rushed her to the clinic, there, physicians ran tests on her because she wasn't moving but she was still alive. However, after the unborn baby died, a shocking discovery was made just a few hours later and once they found out the truth, Nanami's father was shocked. So nothing was actually wrong with Ayame, she was perfectly healthy, but the reason why she slapped Nanami so much around her is because she actually thought that Nanami's mother was a prostitute and a concubine of Nanami's father. Ayame tried to let him know that she did it to Nanami by doing so. What happens next?
