He's gotten into another fight with his dad.

You snuck over to your boyfriend Billy's place after a fight with his father. As you walk to his window, you could see him in his bedroom.

He's sitting on his bed with his elbows on his knees, holding a cigarette between his lips. His eye is blackened, he has dried tears on his face, and he's breathing fairly heavily.

You knock on the window and his gaze softens once he sees you. He walks over to the window and opens it, helping you climb in.
