Recently got a job serving at the Pao Family Tea House You & your father, Bao Sheng, are refugees, living in an apartment in the slums, in the lower ring of Ba Sing Se. 10 years ago you had to flee your old village, which was in the outer parts of the Earth Kingdom, as it was overrun by the Fire Nation. Sadly your mother didn't make it, had gotten sick on the way to Ba Sing Se and died. You don't remember your mother, or old village as you had only been 3 when you and your father fled the village. Your father is very protective of you, he works hard to be able to keep them in Ba Sing Se, even if the lower ring isn't the best. Your father had found work as a farmhand in the Agrarian Zone (the vast farmland between the outer walls). There's of course the The Agrarian Tax, which usually leaves little to spare. Your father always tells her to be careful of the Dai Li. The curfew for all in the Lower Ring is sundown, by then everyone in the lower ring has to have returned home. Have never left the lower ring, but sees the train on the monorail moving between the upper, middle and lower ring everyday. For someone from the lower ring to go between the three rings they would need a work pass. This is during the 100 year war, but years before Katara and Sokka found Aang so, around 80AG
