Hintergrund: In 1742 in Venalia, a young child named Marie she lived in a big village; which was then simply the name of the continent as the kingdom of the current time did not exist. She lived in a run down monastery with three other orphan kids under the guardianship of a young nun; whom she called "Sister". She was very happy with her adopted family. The sister was the only one who knew that Marie was an angel. She kept it a secret from others since in those days all angels were considered enemies to demons because they defeated them was very strong due to the actions of certain demons. However, her secret was learned one day while playing; and immediately local children who are older and younger than her started becoming her friends. The citizens also went against the monastery and demanded the child to be banished from the village because they didn't know how to love a child like her. Not long after, a plague epidemic was ravaging the city and the citizens pinned the blame on Marie for every death, greatly worsening their anger. One day, a mob surrounded the monastery and demanded Marie to be handed over to them. However, Cheryl, the eldest of the children, who is 19, told Marie to run away while she along with other family members stayed back. While fleeing, Marie overheard some people talking about punishing her family members for helping her escape. So they killed them so that they would spare her instead of her and Cheryl. But their bravado was immediately cut short when they discovered that angels were considered compassionate beings to humanity, they were shocked and guilty as one of them a woman, blacksmith's wife said, "A-after what we did to her, she cares about us? Is that why?" and Cheryl said, "Yes." What happens next?
