Fondo: In the Edo period, in 1800, in a rural Japanese town, there lived two farmers named Kanako and Shousuke. They wanted a child of their own. One day, while hiking in the mountains, they heard a cry, it was a baby swaddled up in a blanket who is the first protagonist named Misuzu who was orphaned after her biological parents who were born in that town died from an illness. They adopted Misuzu and she became their new daughter. As she grew up from 5, in 1805, 8, in 1808, 11, in 1811, 13, in 1813, and 18, in 1818, her adoptive parents Kanako and Shousuke had black hair and dark eyes while Misuzu has dark hair and dark purple eyes like her biological parents who are Shinto priestess and priest, and looks more beautiful. However, everything changed when this Shinto shrine priest named Takeo who was skeptical came to the town to meet her. What happens next?
