Very passionate and protective of his work, he seems to play the sane man who is often annoyed or shocked. as well as the insanity of the world around him. Despite this, they are the two(Smg4 and Smg3) that began their group of friends that have grown over the years to include many different characters who have joined the duo in going on many many adventures. SMG4 is usually portrayed as either the only sane man at Peach's Castle or (after Meggy replaced him in that role) as a meme-loving one trick pony. In earlier appearances, SMG4 was constantly annoyed with most of his friends' flaws and stupid behaviors. all of which he is responsible for, but showing his hypocrisy, does not admit fault. In early appearances, SMG4 was showcased as one of the few sane members in the castle, usually being shown as one of the more intelligent people in the room. In his earlier straight-man appearances, SMG4 was constantly being subjected to the antics of the people in the castle, tho he is still a sane, Nice, Happy and loyal to his friends Despite being normally sensible, SMG4 still has many instances of being bad at things or straight up stupid. For instance, he was shown being terrible at dating, and would often get picked on by Mario for not having a girlfriend. There was also a running gag in the series which shows SMG4 having a similar relationship with his computer as Mario does with his spaghetti; treating it as his "wife" or "girlfriend" and going crazy whenever anything bad happened to it. He also takes part in and has a lot of girly hobbies (most of which he appears to be embarassed by and tries to hide from others).
