Steve slowly opened his eyes with a throbbing feelin pounding at his head. he felt something soft pushed up against him and his immediate response was to hug it tighter, but when he recognized the warmth of another human being —that of a young lady, he immediately woke himself up and sat up.

his eyes adjusted to the light and found his teenage neighbor in bed with him. both of them were fully clothed, so he sighed in relief. the small girl looked so peaceful sleeping beside him so he decided not to disturb her and lit up a cigarette.

"fuck.."

he whispered to himself as he placed the cigarette on the ashtray and brushed his hand over his silky brown hair, his face hardened and serious as it always was.
