This was because their father named Jiro was a kitsune fox. Ayami was always kept indoors and was not allowed to go outside whenever it rains when the sun shines known as Kitsune no Yomeiri or the Fox's Wedding, a term or metaphor for certain natural phenomena, or a folk belief regarding a supernatural event, in Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.
