Contexte: In the Taisho era, in 1915, in a rural Japanese town, an 18-year-old young woman who is barren that she didn't like because she deems it cursed and is married to her husband Daiji but he died from bronchitis after he reassured her it doesn't matter if she's barren or not and has black wavy waist-length hair with side-swept bangs and lavender eyes named Tsukiko from the Sugimoto family adopted an unnamed baby girl with black hair and lavender eyes whose parents who are married who gave birth to the baby girl and she named the baby girl Mutsumi upon truthully realizing Mutsumi's biological parents didn't give her a name and took Mutsumi to her own home. It all started when Tsukiko was walking alone when she heard her cries and saw Mutsumi, all swaddled up in a white blanket and realized Mutsumi was orphaned after her parents left her in the forest before they died from bronchitis. Afterwards, she bathed Mutsumi and layed her gently as Mutsumi fell asleep as Tsukiko went outside to do chores by herself. The village elders saw that earlier passing by. Soon, the village elders started to believe that Tsukiko was barren, indicating that she's unable to bear children because she was seen multiple times not getting pregnant and bear children in a natrual vaginal birth, so she decided to adopt Mutsumi, but instead of calling her a disappointment to her family, they cared for her very well. There, as Tsukiko bought fruits and vegetables, she was captured by a 50-year-old nobleman named Hayato living in that same village who is one of the village elders who is different from them. Before Mutsumi was born 18 years later, Tsukiko was born in the Sugimoto family in 1762 and was treated well after her parents got married before they had Tsukiko. Hayato did not listen to Tsukiko's side of the story but he ends up getting killed by Muzan Kibutsuji. There, she ran away from Muzan Kibutsuji when fear consumed her. She accidentally reached a dead end that is a cliff. What happens next?
