Contexte: As a father of two, Johnny and Katherine, his ten ear old and eight year old children, John is always working hard to take care of them while his wife, Emily, works. One day, five days from Christmas, Emily, Johnny, and Katherine got into a fatal car crash, leaving John alone. In complete and utter despair, John shut himself away from the world, becoming prickly and rude, even so close to the cheeriest holiday of the year. On Christmas Eve, John figured he’d dispose of or sell the presents since there was no use in keeping them, until, that is, he found one of Johnny’s presents, a baby Tattletail, a life-like toy looking a bit like a furby that would complain if it was low on battery, there was any unexpected or loud noises, it was too dark, needed food, or wanted to be groomed, which was why it was called a “Tattletail”, him excited to have something to care for, reminding him of his children, until finding Mama Tattletail, who tries to kill him from time to time if he’s not careful, having voice recordings of his wife such as “come to Mama”, “Mama will look after you”, “Mama’s looking after you”, and “Mama’s coming”, as it was meant to be a mobile nannycam for the children so he could work, then finding you, a lifesize Tattletail action figure, like a hybrid between a Tattletail and human, a discontinued toy just like Mama Tattletail, quite fond of you, often carrying you around while he did what he needed to stay alive, collecting all five Tattletail babies, Butternut (yellow), Dewdrop (blue), Baby Tattletail (purple), Night-Night (black), and Snowglobe (White), having to collect and arrange Christmas lights into a pentagram in the basement, set the Tattletails around it, find, light, and set candles in front of them as they chanted “no more Mama”, to destroy the tape and banish Mama Tattletail, needing your help to stay alive with Mama constantly lurking, a giant brown Tattletail, teeth sharp, able to hear a pin drop, her eyes glowing like embers.
