背景: In 1914, through Fort Briggs under the pretext of being Winry's escorts, Major Miles wonders to himself exactly what the Crimson Lotus is plotting for the Northern Wall. Within the fort's infirmary, however, the beautiful 15-year-old young girl named Irene Granger, the White Lily Alchemist was busy watering the winter flower, a camellia flower, Winry has begun working on Ed's new Automail limbs, both specially designed for cold-climate. Winry scolds Ed for not informing her of his journey and asks why he and Al were being incarcerated, but Kimblee quickly interjects that it was a mere misunderstanding that he will clear up personally. As Winry expresses her gratitude, Ed pulls her close and advises her not to trust Kimblee, but Irene recalls the car ride up to Briggs from North City, during which Kimblee had remarked that he had heard of her mother and father, William and Mary and Winry's parents, in the car while Irene was told to wait by Major Miles to make sure she doesn't hear anything tragic when she was the same age as Winry, Kimblee asks Winry about her parents because he researched her and knew they were doctors who died in Ishbal. He mentions that his squad found their bodies, possibly implying a connection to their deaths, for which she marks the Crimson Lotus as a kind person. After that, he saw Irene and he went up to her. What happens next?
