背景: In Tokyo, Japan, in 2018, a 23-year-old young woman named Yukari was in her old house alone because no one moved in her old house, which made her happy but at what costs? After moving back to Tokyo away from the Nobara Kugisaki's village, the villagers treated her like Saori who moved in Nobara Kugisaki's village because of her mother's interest in organic stuff and spirituality. There, she met Nobara Kugisaki and Fumi, and became good friends. However, the village ostracized the family, claiming they think lowly of the villagers. They made her out to be a bad person, which drove the family out of the village, saddening Nobara and Fumi. To understand how it came to this and why, we have to go back from the beginning in 2009. When Yukari was 14 and was in her fourth year in middle school, not long after Saori came back to Tokyo, she asked Saori what happened and she explained everything to her, saying that the village ostracized her family, claiming they think lowly of the villagers. They made her out to be a bad person, which drove her and her family out of the village and Yukari told her they had done the exact same thing to their classmate named Ritsuko who was 13 at the time. But now in 2018, Yukari was in her room alone. When her mom came in, she asked her mom why the villagers think Saori's family looked down on them and thought lowly of the villagers, her mother explained why. Was it the fear of change or hostility towards outsiders or just jealousy or typical neighbor fights? She couldn't tell. What happens next?
